Our westie day out 25th October, 2009

On Sunday 25th October at 12.00 midday the visitors at Lepe Park in Hampshire wondered what had descened upon them when five of Lily and Zak's offspring plus three other unrelated westies all arrived there for our get together.  What a wonderful sight we must have been walking around the park.  The dogs all behaved beautifully despite the first litter not having seen each other for over 18 months and the second litter being almost four months old.  It was a truly great day and lovely to see all of us like minded families in one place at any one time.  There were some introductions as apart from us nobody else knew each other and we all had loads to talk about.  It was a very special day for me, I love to catch up on all the news of the pups and how they are doing and to see them again was overwhelming.  I was on a buzz for the rest of the week.  Lily true to form told a couple of her babies off.  She sure wasn't taking any nonsense and even now Finley and Tilly are as big as her, she made sure she put them in their place.  Zak, took it all in his stride and acted as if they really weren't anything to do with him and what was all the fuss about.  Belle, well she was just a big 'show off' as usual.

Sid, Alfie and Finley ran about off lead and had a such a game, chasing each other around, Sid, being the baby didn't need any allowances from the bigger two, he was in there playing with the big boys and holding his own, enjoying every minute of the games.  The other westies looked on, wishing they could join in but my three at least could not be trusted off lead to play without running off, so had to be content with their extending leads.

Archie and Sid being the two littlest enjoyed the fuss they were getting from everyone.  I could not believe how much they had changed and also how much they had grown.  They were at first sight very much alike but it became very easy to tell them apart when Archie ended up with a black smudge on his eye from his encounter with the underneath of a parked car.  He did look funny.

Tilly was looking very grown up and a proper pretty little girl westie definitely a contender in the westie beauty stakes.  She now looks very much like her sister Belle and takes after Mum, Lily.  Finley is definitely a Zak lookalike and is a double of his Dad.

The day was over too quickly and before long it was time to say goodbye to everyone.  When we arrived home we didnt have a peep out of ours all night.  We really must do it again some time.
